Upcoming Events

Over the past year Texas Wade Paddle & Pole has made significant progress in creating awareness of the issues facing our Texas coastal flats. We would like to thank our partners, members and advisory board for their initial and continued support. As we move forward with this initiative, we will be listing upcoming events that address habitat issues and promote responsible boating and fishing on the Texas Coast.

The Community Outreach program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will be offering an introductory kayaking course on the final Saturday of each month. The first half of the course is conducted at the university’s pool. After lunch, kayakers are taken to the Lighthouse Lakes Paddling Trails in Aransas Pass for more paddling skills instruction. Participants must be 18 or older or 14-17 if accompanied by a parent. The cost is $100 per person, which includes a loaner kayak, paddles and life jackets.
